Guidelines For Students & Parents

Parents should carry out their responsibilities as educator in instilling in their children respect and strict obedience for all school rules and regulations.

Students should always wear their School ID card.
Parents are requested to go through their wards school diary regularly and sign the teacher’s remarks, if any.
PTA meetings should be regularly attended to discuss the performance and progress of the child.
Parents must check that the child carries books/not books according to time table.
Children should do their home work by themselves unless they require some guidance.
For the best result parents must motivate and support their child establish a proper study area. Home work must be given a priority in the daily schedule.
In case home work has not been completed by the due date then it should be communicated clearly to the class teacher with reason that why the work was not done.
Encourage your ward to read good books or play games, instead of viewing TV.
Parents are requested not to accompany their wards to the class rooms at arrival time. At dispersal time they should collect their wards from the school gate.
Parents are not permitted to meet teachers during school hours. In special cases, parents may be allowed to meet the teacher with prior permission from the principal/ academic incharge.
Parents should ensure that their wards do not bring any objectionable books, magazine, picture or any other material that may violate the disciplinary norms of the school. Otherwise the same will be destroyed in the presence of the student.
Parents are also requested to ensure that their wards do not bring gift except to offer for distribution on birthdays. Students from class VI onwards should be in school uniform even on their birthday.
Parents are requested to refrain from sending lunch boxes/ notebook of their wards during school hours.
Parents are requested to send their ward in neat and clean or fit size uniform. Students should not wear faded, over-size or small-size uniform.
Shirt must be fully buttoned
Students are not permitted to wear fancy and costly watches,chains,earings,belts etc.
Students are not allowed to colour / spike / gel their hair, wear nailpolish, tattoo or any henna design. Fancy hairstyles are not allowed.
Parents are requested to inform the school if there is any change in address/ Tel. numbers .If they fail to update the changed number school will not be responsible for delivering the information or failing to contact.
The school has a system of fruit break for junior classes. You are requested to ensure that the child carries at least one fruit every day.
Please do not give mobile phone to your child. If student is found carrying a mobile phone, it will be confiscated and a heavy fine will be imposed.
The facility of internet is required to monitor the usage of this wonderful technology by your ward so that he/she does not misuse the internet access. It is advisable to route your child’s E-mail through your account and share their password. Also, keep the computer in a central family location, not in the child’s room. The usage of computer should be a family activity.
Encourage your ward to take a balanced interest in studies, co-curricular activities and sports.
Criticism of a teacher of the school in presence of a child must be scrupulously avoided as it causes students to lose respect for their teacher with the consequent failure to learn from her, thus retarding the child’s progress.
Refrain from giving regular pocket money to your ward. Encourage healthy breakfast and give home cooked food in your wards tiffin and regulate their sleeping hours to at least 8 hours a day.
Parents should acknowledge the circular sent from school .
Parents should use the “Leave Record” form in the diary when applying for leave or explaining the absence of their children.
Children without the school diary will be detained for 3 periods.
Parents are requested not to give gifts to individual teachers/ or non teaching staff for any occasion.
No student is permitted to come to school on Saturdays / holidays unless the teacher has given a written note. Students coming for practices on Saturdays / holidays must be in school uniform.
Parents are earnestly requested to pickup their child/ward when the school ends. Please note that school is not responsible for anything that happens after school hours unless the student is specifically called after school hours by the teachers with a written note to the effect

Attendance and Leave of Absence

All students must be present on the first day and last day of each term. Students must also be present on the re-opening day after The Summer/Winter Break.
In all cases of absence from school, the parent is expected to make a note in the specified section of the school calendar.
Absence for 3 to 5 days on medical grounds must be accompanied by a medical certificate and should be sanctioned by the Coordinator. For any other absence of more than 5 days the written sanction of the Principal is required.
Students who are absent on the re-opening days after a Term/holidays without prior permission from the Principal will not be permitted into the class.
No student should leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal/ V. Principals/Coordinator. Parents seeking to take their child/ward during school hours must meet the Principal/ V. Principals/Coordinator for permission. Students will be permitted to leave the class during school hours only when the parent reports in person at the school reception and secures the necessary permission.
Students will not be sent with drivers/friends/relatives without the written request of the Parent.
Students who have been absent for more than a month without permission are liable to have their names struck off the rolls and have to seek readmission.
Students suffering from contagious diseases must stay away from school and seek medical attention. A student returning to school after suffering from an infection or contagious disease should produce a fitness certificate from the Doctor. Students suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class : Chicken pox – till scabs fall off Cholera – till the child is completely well Measles – Two weeks after the rash disappears Mumps – About one month, until the swelling has subsided Whooping Cough – Six weeks after recovery Jaundice – Six weeks after recovery
It is compulsory for the students to complete 75% of attendance in the year to make them eligible to sit for their final exams. The percentage however, could be relaxed on medical grounds but such students will not be eligible for any academic rewards.
Any student leaving from school early or coming late to school ( after the second period ) will be marked absent for the day.
Any student who is sick should not come on the day of evaluation. The child will not be given a zero , but the average will be considered when the medical certificate is produced.
