Imtiaz has nurtured Rahul Dravid in late eighties. Sujith Somasunder, Yere Goud (the present Karnataka Captain), Rowland Barrington, Rohan Gawaskar, M S K Prasad, Deepak Chougle, Devraj Patil, Robin Uthappa, Stuart Binny, Sudhindra Shinde from grass root level very early in their careers.

A Former International & Karnataka Ranji trophy cricketer, Imtiaz Ahmed took up nurturing young talent after his retirement from first class cricket in 1987. IACA was the first professional cricket coaching camp in the country for young cricketers started by him in the city of Bangalore. Young boys learn basics from professional coaches at the cricket centre situated in the heart of the city.

Our coaches over the years have served painstakingly to help unearth talent that would have gone unnoticed otherwise. Former cricketers like Roger Binny , GR Wishwanath , Ashok Mankad, Salus Nazareth, Syed Kirmani, Keki Tarapore, Daljith Singh, etc have all contributed towards the success of trainees at IACA .

The St Johns Medical College ground in Koramangala boasts of 4 match grounds in the same sports complex and offers the trainees the right atmosphere and facilities to work towards a mission. The academy attaches prominence to match play and organises tournaments throughout the year prominent being the Pepsi Cup which was started in 1987 and has been successfully sustained for 24 years without a break. Importance is given to improving technique and physical fitness of trainees over the past 3 decades. IACA is now growing towards 30 years of cricket education.

The All India Pepsi Cup conducted during the month of May has now become a Legacy.
