Imtiaz has nurtured Rahul Dravid in late eighties. Sujith Somasunder, Yere Goud (the present Karnataka Captain), Rowland Barrington, Rohan Gawaskar, M S K Prasad, Deepak Chougle, Devraj Patil, Robin Uthappa, Stuart Binny, Sudhindra Shinde from grass root level very early in their careers.

Mr Imtiaz Ahmed is a former Karnataka Ranji trophy cricketer who Played first class cricket from 1970 – 1980. A Middle order batsmen and leg spinner who represented Indian under- 19, toured with Indian u-19 to United Kingdom in 1973. He scored the first century of tour for India on that tour at Canterbury and went on to play Ranji Trophy for almost a decade.

Mr Imtiaz Ahmed also captained the prestigious Bangalore United Cricket Club in the First Division League at Bangalore. He went on to captain BUCC on their maiden tour to Australia in 1988. He also toured United Kingdom with the then “Bangalore side” in 1978 with under 25 team. Mr Imtiaz was the captain of the Karnataka School boys, U- 22 and U- 25 teams in the 70’s.

Mr Imtiaz was also a member of Winning Ranji Trophy Karnataka Team at Mohannagar in 1978. And played alongside BS Chandrashekar, GR Vishvanath, Sayed Kirmani, EAS Prassana, Roger Binny, Brijesh Patel in the Karnataka side for almost a decade.

Since his retirement, Mr Imtiaz has spent his time nurturing youngsters from all over the world helping them realising their dream to become an accomplished cricketer.
