Imtiaz has nurtured Rahul Dravid in late eighties. Sujith Somasunder, Yere Goud (the present Karnataka Captain), Rowland Barrington, Rohan Gawaskar, M S K Prasad, Deepak Chougle, Devraj Patil, Robin Uthappa, Stuart Binny, Sudhindra Shinde from grass root level very early in their careers.

Will my child use a hard cricket ball on the Academy?
Yes. All trainees will be using a had cricket ball for practice. However, young kids between 5 years and 9 years will first be made to get acclimatised with a soft ball, then move on to playing with a leather ball.

What should my child wear?
Your child must wear official cricket clothes. i.e. white pant and a white shirt for matches and an academy track suit for practice. The official cap is compulsory. This uniform is available at our store. White shoes are a must.

What should my child bring?

Your child must bring along with him his cricket kit bag containing cricket gear. A bat , Batting leg guard, abdominal guard, batting gloves, thigh guard, helmet etc form an ideal cricket kit. This gear is available at our store at a discounted price and can be purchased by producing your child’s ID card.

Where do I drop off/pick up my child at an Academy?
Our academy is situated at St Johns Medical College ground , Koramangala (opposite St johns medical hospital). All practice will happen at the centre, while matches venue will defer. Kindly be in touch with the coach for further information.

Will I receive any more information after I have made a booking?
Trainees will receive communication on various events from time to time. Kindly check with them for information.

If I want to know how my child is getting on at an Academy, what do I do?

Parents are welcome to visit the academy and speak to our team on a 1 on 1 to find out about the progress of the trainee. If you wish to meet Mr Imtiaz directly, prior appointment might be required.

How many matches will my child play apart from practice?

Trainees will get to play atleast 40 – 50 matches a year apart from tours to other cities/ countries. Trainees will compete against other academies /clubs at various times throughout the year. IACA also hosts teams from other countries like Sri Lanka/ Australia /UK etc and gives young trainees an opportunity to compete against them.

Can my child tour to other cities / countries to play?

Yes. IACA tours to various destinations like Chennai/Hyderabad/Delhi/Sri Lanka/ Australia/ UK etc hroughout the year to give young trainees an opportunity to compete in different conditions against different oppositions. Kindly speak to us for further information.

Can I opt for a video analysis of my child?
Yes IACA offers trainees to analyse their game with the help of Video analysis. However this is only done based on prior appointment by calling our hotline.

Where do you recruit your staff from?

IACA recruits coaches from all over India. Only former Ranji Trophy, International Cricketers & qualified coaches get the opportunity to coach trainees, while other support staff help on aspects like physical fitness , analysis etc.

Will you provide drinks and snacks?

No, Unless reserved for, trainees will not receive drinks and snacks. Kindly make sure trainees carry enough water especially during summers as the training will get rigorous at times.

If I am good and prove myself at the academy, what are my future prospects?

IACA’s aim is to help nurture young talent and provide them with a platform to perform. IACA surely recognizes performance. Trainees who perform consistently are provided scholarships in leading schools of Bangalore. They can study and play for free in the garden city. If graduated, trainees will also get an opportunity to represent clubs such as B.U.C.C. , Gary cricketers etc in the KSCA league. IACA also advocates students for state selection under various age groups.
